The NPVN 3600-90 pump, which is used for the oil supply in the main pipeline systems, was designed by «ОАО «NPO «GIDROMASH» for Public Joint Stock Company «Transneft».
R&PC «ANOD», Ltd designed and manufactured the bearing assemblies and shaft seals.
The following were the primary tasks in the development of bearings and seals:
because of the pump's design features, the axial force is 15000 kg;
lubrication and cooling of bearings with pumped oil;
operating time between failures is at least 2500 h.
R&PC «ANOD», Ltd offered a modern design solution when designing the power unit for the NPVN 3600-90 pump – the power unit is designed using the BSB principle. The pump supporting and sealing assemblies are organized as follows:
The axial bearing of the segment type with silicon carbide friction sliding surfaces.
Oil from the pump head passes through a filter device to lubricate and cool the journal and upper bearings. The lower thrust bearing is lubricated with oil that is discharged to the pump suction via a hole in the shaft after the primary impeller.
At an oil pumping station located near Noyabrsk, NPVN 3600-90 pump with a BSB is currently successfully used.
The vibration data during the operation was better than expected - 2 mm/s, which is a good indicator for this type of pump.
